Welcome to the Public Health Division at the City of Berkeley, CA. We are part of the Health, Housing & Community Services Department. We work for a Healthy Berkeley!
The Berkeley Public Health Division is made up of public health nurses, community outreach workers, health educators, health care providers, and other public health professionals. We are all committed to eliminating health inequities in Berkeley. We provide direct services for individuals and families and work together to address the social, educational, economic, and environmental inequities that affect health. Our programs include:
- Heart 2 Heart Mobile Health Van "Your heart is in your hands!" - The H2H Mobile Health Van hosts events on the corner of Oregon Street and Sacramento in Berkeley, usually on the 4th Saturday of the month from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (*unless otherwise noted). Read more...
- The City of Berkeley Public Health Division offers a Healthy Eating and Nutrition program aimed at increasing access to healthier foods like fruits and vegetables. The program is free to those in the Berkeley community. Read more...
- The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program provides free food vouchers, breastfeeding support, and referrals for low-income, pregnant women and low-income children under the age of five (5). Read more...
